Printing it in color
3DPrintDogs' full-color version needs a printer that handles at least 8 colors, such as a Bambu printer with two AMS units; there's also a 2-color version. Their .3mf files were made in Bambu Studio. They printed without supports and note that the multicolor print changes the fit of the holes for the square pegs in the top horns. PenguinPrototype spent a month making a 4-color version with slimmer walls, pegs and a hidden wall mount; it prints on five plates and is glued together. For tool changers, there are remixes for the Snapmaker U1 and INDX, and thebrew.shop's stained glass take does the color with filament changes.
Printing it to paint
Peter Farell's mask includes UV textures to help with painting the cracked wood, and is sized slightly bigger than an average man's face. ReProps suggests scaling theirs to 320% and gouging in wood grain with a rotary tool, or sanding vertically with very low grit. Jo0001 printed a large wood-grain mask in Sunlu Burly Wood PLA+ with tree supports, about 200 g of filament per half. Prime with filler and sandable primer first, then paint; the Army Painter Warpaints Fanatic starter set has 11 colors. A Dremel 4300 rotary tool kit handles the wood grain.
Hanging and wearing it
KNfLrPn's remix has a flat back with spots for 10 x 5 mm cylindrical magnets (add a pause in your slicer to drop them in); for smaller ones, 6 x 3 mm magnets come 50 to a pack. To wear it, start with Peter Farell's, which may need enlarging for a big head, or OssoBlack's half-face mask in a mempo style.
