The quickest way to pull off a video game Halloween costume is a wearable helmet or mask, because the head is the part people recognize. For Halloween 2026 there are three routes. Halo: the Master Chief helmet
Master Chief is the one most people will recognize from across the street. Disguise makes the licensed costume versions, and three of them are on Amazon:

Print it: Halo 4 Helmet, Full Size, Adult
A free, full-size helmet file by Xauce. on MakerWorld, shared under a CC BY-SA licence. It is a remix of Big_red_frog's 2013 Halo 4 helmet project, and the sections join with tension pins. The designer printed those pins in PETG at 104 percent to allow for shrinkage, because PLA pins snapped along the layer lines.

Team Fortress 2: Pyro, Soldier and Spy
PropFortress is a small shop that builds TF2 cosplay pieces and sells the matching STL files, so every look here has a buy route and a print route. Its masks come in three sizes, measured across the widest part of the face from cheekbone to cheekbone: Small is 11 to 12.5 cm, Medium 12.5 to 14 cm, and Large 14 to 15.5 cm.
Pyro Gas Mask for Cosplay
The Pyro's gas mask with adjustable elastic straps and mesh eye lenses you can see through. PropFortress also sells the full Pyro bundle (mask, tank backpack and three grenades) for USD 260 to 280 by size.

Soldier's Helmet
The Soldier's helmet at 23 x 27 x 17.5 cm, sized to fit an average adult male head. PropFortress suggests adding soft foam padding inside for comfort, and says other sizes are available on request.

For a Spy, PropFortress makes the Noh Mercy mask (USD 50 to 60 by size, with a prop cigarette) and the Dead Head mask (from USD 40). Rust: the metal facemask
In Rust the metal facemask means a player is fully geared, which makes it a good costume for anyone who plays. LootRoom, one of the merch partners listed on Facepunch's own site, makes 1:1 hand-painted replicas in PLA in its workshop in Bavaria, and sells them for cosplay or display. The four listed here each offer a face velcro strap option for EUR 10 more.
Rust Glowing Skull Skin Facemask
The Glowing Skull skin, with an acid-green skull painted across the mask that glows under UV light. The Frostbite skin also uses UV-reactive paint, which suits a blacklit Halloween party.

Helldivers 2: a helmet you can wear
Most Helldivers 2 helmets for sale are display pieces. The Dark Horse helmets on Amazon, for example, are 1:4 scale and 4.5 inches tall, so they will not fit a head. For a costume you have two options.
Blasters4Masters lists a B-01 Tactical Helmet replica that is hand-painted and padded with a see-through visor. It was on backorder when we checked on September 24, 2026, so confirm the lead time with the shop before counting on it for Halloween. (This is a plain link. We do not earn from it.)
Print it: Wearable Helldivers 2 Savior of the Free Helmet
A free file by PrintOliveIt on Printables, published in April 2024 under a Creative Commons non-commercial licence. The same designer also posted a separate version labelled unwearable, so make sure you download the wearable one.

Minecraft, Fortnite, Star Wars and Tarkov
- Minecraft. Disguise's Creeper Block Head glows in the dark and is labelled for ages 8 and up, and there is a matching Enderman Block Head. - Fortnite. Spirit Halloween's officially licensed Fortnite Drift half mask is an adult one-size mask. Pair it with a hoodie and you are done.

- Escape from Tarkov. For a Killa costume, this Maska-1 style helmet replica has a fiberglass shell and a removable steel visor. The listing says it is not an in-game item, so treat it as a lookalike of the real-world helmet the character wears.

Can you 3D print a wearable helmet?
Yes, and the files above are made to be worn. Full-size helmets are often split into sections that are glued or pinned together: the MakerWorld Halo 4 helmet joins its parts with tension pins, while the LootRoom Rust facemask prints as one shell.
What size 3D printer do I need for helmets?
Check the footprint on the file's listing before you buy it, because it varies from file to file. PropFortress lists its Soldier Helmet STL at 16 x 18.6 x 14 cm, so it needs a build volume at least that big, and the LootRoom facemask stands roughly 26 cm tall when printed at 1:1.
How do you size a 3D printed helmet?
Measure your head before you print, then scale the file to fit. PropFortress tells buyers to check their head size before printing its Soldier Helmet STL, and it sizes its masks by cheekbone width: 11 to 12.5 cm for Small, 12.5 to 14 cm for Medium, and 14 to 15.5 cm for Large.
Is there a wearable Master Chief helmet for kids?
