MEGA, the Mattel building-set brand that used to be called Mega Bloks, has been making Halo sets for well over a decade. The big ones are genuine adult display pieces. A 2,024-piece Pelican is not a toy you hide in a closet.
With Halo: Campaign Evolved out now, a lot of people are looking at Halo shelf pieces for the first time in years. So we re-checked every MEGA Halo vehicle set we track, one listing at a time, and then did it again seven weeks later. The short version: the range keeps shrinking. Sets that had a normal buy box in July are now third-party only, and the flagship Pelican has gone entirely.

What we found when we re-checked all 14
Of the 14 MEGA and Mega Bloks Halo sets in this guide, we re-opened the 10 that were still selling in July. As of September 17, 2026:
- 4 have a normal Amazon buy box: the FLEETCOM Warthog ATV, the FLEETCOM Mongoose ATV, the UNSC Wasp Onslaught and the Forerunner Ring Installation.
- 5 are third-party sellers only, at whatever those sellers ask: the Banished Phantom, the UNSC Scorpion Clash, the Renegade Banshee, the Arctic Burn Wasp and the 20th Anniversary Character Pack.
- 1 has gone entirely. The Pelican Inbound now shows no add-to-cart button, no buy-now button and no third-party option on two separate reads.
- 4 were already discontinued when we checked in July and we did not re-open them: the legacy Mega Bloks sets listed further down.
Three sets lost their buy box in seven weeks. That is the pattern worth taking away from this page: this is a range selling through, not restocking, so if a set matters to you, the window is now rather than next year.
The flagship vehicles
MEGA Halo Pelican Inbound, 2,024 pieces, no longer buyable on Amazon
The UNSC dropship as it appears in Halo Infinite, and the biggest MEGA Halo build we track at 2,024 pieces. Poseable wings, a cockpit hatch, working landing gear, and a hidden interior that opens up. It is a 2-in-1: build the Pelican, or use the same box to build a UNSC compound with a fortification barrier, forklift, and rocket. Three micro figures come with it, Master Chief, the Pilot, and a Hunter, each with 12 points of articulation and display stands.
Update, September 17, 2026. When this guide was first written the Pelican was buyable at a steep scarcity price and we said it was worth waiting on rather than buying on sight. Waiting no longer helps. The listing now returns no add-to-cart button, no buy-now button and no third-party sellers on two independent reads, so we have stopped linking it and marked it unavailable in our own catalog. The secondhand market is the only route left.
MEGA Halo Banished Phantom, 1,214 pieces, third-party sellers only
The Covenant answer to the Pelican, in Banished colors. The thick metal plating folds outward to expose the cockpit and interior, and the turret fires. Also a 2-in-1, with a Banished combat walker as the alternate build. Four figures: Spartan Griffin, Jega 'Rdomnai, a Brute Captain, and an Escharum hologram. Rated 10 and up rather than 8 and up, which tracks with the build.
Update, September 17, 2026. This was the best big-set value on the list in July, with a normal buy box. It has since lost it. The set is still listed and still the second-largest build we track, but only through third-party sellers now, so the price is whatever the seller asks that week and we are not quoting one.
MEGA Halo UNSC Scorpion Clash, 993 pieces, third-party sellers only

The UNSC main battle tank, with rolling treads you build yourself, a turret that recoils by crank, and a defense post with a firing turret. Five figures: Spartan Stone, a UNSC Marine, an Elite Warlord, and two Banished Hunters. The alternate build splits it into an aircraft and a smaller tank.
The catch: Amazon no longer has a buy box for it, and it still did not have one when we re-checked on September 17, 2026. It is listed, but only through third-party sellers, so the price depends entirely on who is selling that week. We are not quoting a number because there is not a stable one to quote.
The Halo TV series wave
These are the FLEETCOM sets, modeled on the vehicles as they appear in the Halo television series rather than the games. Smaller and faster to build. Two of the three still have a normal Amazon buy box, which makes this the easiest wave to actually buy from.

The Warthog is the pick of the entire guide. It carries five figures on its own, including Master Chief, Cortana, and Spartans KAI-125, Riz-029, and Vannak-134, and it has an extendable cargo rack, shock-absorbing suspension, and a rear turret that pivots and seats a figure. Five figures in one box is figure-density you otherwise have to buy a dedicated character pack to get, and it read plain "In Stock" on both of our checks.
The Renegade Banshee gives you a working cockpit door plus Soren-006 and an Elite Minor, but it lost its buy box between our two checks and is third-party only now. The Mongoose is 79 pieces and one UNSC Marine, which makes it a shelf-filler rather than a centerpiece, and it is still the cheapest way to round out a diorama.
The Halo Infinite mid-tier
MEGA Halo UNSC Wasp Onslaught, 406 pieces, buy box
Dual spinning engines, a figure cockpit, and a 360-degree Shade Turret with energy shields. Four figures: Master Chief, a UNSC Marine, a Hunter, and a Grunt Conscript. The 2-in-1 alternate build gives you two rival light aircraft instead.
Fair warning on value. On the day we first checked, this was the weakest price-per-piece on the list and cost nearly twice what the 469-piece Warthog did, for fewer pieces. It is a good set. Compare it against the Warthog before you buy rather than assuming the bigger box is the better deal.
MEGA Halo Arctic Burn Wasp, 342 pieces, third-party sellers only
The same Wasp airframe in an arctic camouflage scheme from Halo Infinite multiplayer, with dual spinning engines and a cockpit door that opens. Two figures, plus an energy station built from modular pieces that connect to other Halo modular sets.
Update, September 17, 2026. In July this was the cheap way to get a Wasp and our pick over the Onslaught. It has since lost its Amazon buy box and is third-party only, so the saving that made it the pick is no longer reliable. If you want a Wasp with a normal buy box today, the Onslaught is the one that still has one. You get two extra figures and the Shade Turret with it.
Dioramas and figures
MEGA Halo Forerunner Ring Installation, 301 pieces, buy box
A micro-scale slice of the ring, roughly 5 by 5 by 5 inches assembled, with trees, a river, mountain terrain, and Forerunner architecture. It comes with no figures, which is the point: it is a backdrop. Put a Spartan or two in front of it and it does more display work than its size suggests.

Twenty micro figures spanning the franchise, including Atriox, Spartan Locke, Cortana, Master Chief, the Arbiter, Sergeant Johnson, and Miranda Keyes, all with 12 points of articulation, display stands, and a bonus accessory armory.
This used to be the easy recommendation for populating a display in one purchase. It lost its Amazon buy box before our first check and still had none on September 17, 2026, so we cannot quote a reliable price and we do not put it in the starter list below. If you find it near its old price, it is still the best figure-density buy in the range.
No longer available
These four are still listed on Amazon and still turn up in older guides, but every one of them showed "currently unavailable" with no restock expected when we checked them individually on July 30, 2026. We did not re-open them on September 17 and nothing suggests they came back:
- MEGA Halo Arbiter's Quest Banshee, the Halo Infinite construction set
- Mega Bloks Halo UNSC Pelican Dropship, the original legacy Pelican
- Mega Bloks Halo UNSC Elephant, the mobile command center
- Mega Bloks Halo Covenant Wraith Ambush
The Pelican Inbound covered further up now belongs on this list too, which takes it to five. If you want any of them, Amazon is not the route. They turn up on the secondhand market, and the legacy Mega Bloks sets in particular are collector items now rather than shelf purchases.
How to start a Halo MEGA collection
With the character pack and now the Arctic Burn Wasp both off the table, the sensible three-set start has changed again. All three below had a working Amazon buy box on September 17, 2026:
- FLEETCOM Warthog ATV. The iconic ground vehicle, and it brings five figures with it.
- UNSC Wasp Onslaught. An aircraft to balance the ground unit. It is the pricier Wasp, but it is the Wasp you can still buy normally, and it carries four figures and the Shade Turret.
- Forerunner Ring Installation. A backdrop so the vehicles read as a scene instead of a row. Check stock first, it was down to two units on our last read.
That gives you two vehicles, a terrain piece and nine figures. Add the Mongoose if you want a fourth vehicle cheaply. We are no longer recommending the Banished Phantom as the later centerpiece, because it is third-party only now and the price is not predictable.
What to buy for what
The Warthog is the best overall value on piece count and figures together, and it is one of the four sets that still has a buy box. The Mongoose is the cheapest way to add another vehicle. The Forerunner Ring is the only thing here that works as a backdrop. The Wasp Onslaught is the aircraft, by default rather than on merit, because the cheaper Arctic Burn version is no longer normally buyable.
If you want one large centerpiece, you now have to decide how much seller risk you will take. The Banished Phantom and the Scorpion Clash are both big, both still listed, and both third-party only. Compare what the seller is asking against a normal retail price for a set that size before committing.
