The big Halo building set of 2026 is the Mattel Brick Shop Hot Wheels Halo UNSC M12 Warthog, a 935 piece 1:22 scale model revealed at San Diego Comic-Con on July 23, 2026 for Halo's 25th anniversary, which sold out in preorder and reaches general availability on October 1, 2026. Everything else on shelves is still MEGA branded and still from the Halo Infinite and Halo: The Series waves. We opened 18 of them on Amazon on September 17, 2026: nine had a working buy box, six were third-party sellers only, and three had no way to buy them at all.
The short version. Mattel's Halo brick line has been renamed twice. It was Mega Bloks, then Mega Construx, then simply MEGA, and the 2026 collector release ships under a fourth name, Mattel Brick Shop, a brand Mattel first showed at the Nuremberg toy fair in February 2025. That is why searching for new Mega Construx sets in 2026 turns up almost nothing. The 2026 set is the Mattel Brick Shop Hot Wheels Halo UNSC M12 Warthog, 935 pieces, 1:22 scale, rated 17 and up, with a matching 1:64 die-cast Hot Wheels car and a signature plate; Mattel lists it at $75.59 on shop.mattel.com, checked September 17, 2026, sold out in preorder and due for general availability on October 1, 2026. No MEGA branded Halo set released in 2026. The nine MEGA sets with a working Amazon buy box on September 17, 2026 are the 343 Guilty Spark model, Floodgate Firefight, the UNSC Wasp Onslaught, the FLEETCOM Warthog ATV, the Forerunner Ring Installation, the Ghost of Requiem, the FLEETCOM Mongoose ATV, the Hijacked Ghost and the micro figure blind bag.

Why you cannot find new Mega Construx Halo sets
The name keeps moving and the sets do not. Mattel acquired Mega Brands, ran the Halo licence under Mega Bloks, rebranded it to Mega Construx, then dropped that name for a plain MEGA wordmark. In February 2025 Mattel revealed a separate brick brand at the Nuremberg International Toy Fair called Mattel Brick Shop, aimed at adult collectors and launched with seven Hot Wheels sets. In 2026 the Halo anniversary set went out under that banner rather than under MEGA.
For a buyer that plays out as a search problem. Looking for Mega Construx in 2026 returns the back catalogue, because the back catalogue is genuinely all there is under that name, while the new release sits under a name nobody is typing yet. Neither line has been cancelled. MEGA sets from the Halo Infinite and Halo: The Series waves are still listed and still selling, they are just not new.
The 2026 set: Mattel Brick Shop Hot Wheels Halo UNSC M12 Warthog
This is the one people are searching for. Halo Studios announced it on Halo Waypoint on July 23, 2026, the day it debuted at San Diego Comic-Con, describing it as part of Halo's silver anniversary year. Mattel's own listing gives the specifics: a fully buildable 1:22 scale UNSC M12 Warthog, 935 pieces, rated 17 and up, built from smooth resin bricks. It ships with a custom decal sheet, two sets of wheel covers including metal ones, and extra parts that convert it into the M12G1 Gauss Hog with a rear mounted Gauss cannon. The suspension is independently sprung, the rear turret rotates, and the front winch works on a length of string. In the box with it are a matching 1:64 scale die-cast Hot Wheels Warthog and a signature plate.
Halo Waypoint also notes that the US product carries a redemption code for the Ignition Armor Style for Master Chief in Halo: Campaign Evolved, which released on July 28, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Windows and Xbox Series X and S.
Buying it is the awkward part right now. Preorders opened on announcement day and sold out; Mattel Creations and shop.mattel.com both showed the set unavailable when we checked on September 17, 2026, with a list price of $75.59 on shop.mattel.com. The Amazon listing exists and is live, but on two separate reads today it had no buy box at all, only third-party sellers, which is the usual pattern for a preorder-sold-out item before its general release date. General availability is October 1, 2026. If you want this set at list price, waiting two weeks is the move, not paying a reseller now.

MEGA Halo 343 Guilty Spark, 609 pieces
The most interesting set in the current range and the only one built as a display model rather than a plaything. It is a buildable Guilty Spark monitor with two LED light modes and a speaker that plays 15 official quotes from the original Halo trilogy, and it comes with a buildable display stand. The listing rates it 18 and up and sells it on being a challenging build. It was also the tightest stock we saw today: the availability block read "Only 13 left in stock" when we opened it.

MEGA Halo Infinite Floodgate Firefight, 634 pieces
The largest set still holding a normal buy box, and a fan-vote winner. It builds the Floodgate factory site from Halo 3 as a modular piece that reconfigures four ways, with a forklift and a crane whose winch actually works. Four poseable micro figures with swappable combat accessories come in the box, and it is rated 13 and up. If you want one set that gives you terrain rather than another vehicle, this is it.

MEGA Halo FLEETCOM Warthog ATV, 469 pieces
The Warthog as it appears in Halo: The Series rather than in the games, with an extendable cargo rack and an active suspension system. Five poseable figures ship with it, which is the highest figure count of anything still carrying a buy box, and it is rated 13 and up. If your shelf needs one ground vehicle and you do not want to wait for the October Brick Shop Warthog, this is the one that is buyable today.

MEGA Halo Infinite UNSC Wasp Onslaught, 406 pieces
A UNSC Wasp with a figure cockpit and dual spinning engines, plus a 360 degree Shade Turret with energy shields. It is a 2-in-1: build the Wasp and the turret, or build two rival light aircraft in UNSC and Covenant colours instead. Four micro figures come with it, Master Chief, a UNSC Marine, a Hunter and a Grunt Conscript, each with 12 points of articulation, a display stand and swappable accessories. Rated 8 and up.

A micro-scale slice of the ring that measures roughly 5 by 5 by 5 inches assembled. No figures, which is the point: it is a backdrop that makes everything you stand in front of it read as a scene. Rated 8 and up. Stock is thin, the listing read "Only 2 left in stock" when we opened it on September 17, 2026, so treat that one carefully.

Mega Construx Halo Hijacked Ghost, 123 pieces
Still carrying the old Mega Construx branding on its box, which makes it a useful marker of where the naming changed. It builds a Banished Ghost with dual plasma cannons, or a Banished turret and defence wall as the alternate build. Four micro figures come with it: Spartan Anubis, a Brute Warrior, a Grunt Imperial and a Grunt. Rated 8 and up.

The smallest vehicle in the range and the cheapest way to add another one. It is the Mongoose from Halo: The Series with rolling wheels, room for two micro figures, and one UNSC Marine included. Rated 13 and up. A shelf-filler rather than a centrepiece, which is exactly what it is for.

MEGA Halo micro action figure blind bag
One figure per bag, sealed, so you do not know which you are getting. The figures carry the same 12 points of articulation, display stand and interchangeable accessory as the ones packed into the sets, with the Infection Form the one exception that has no accessory. Rated 13 and up. The listing states one bag per order, which is worth knowing before you plan on buying a handful.

Listed, but you cannot buy them normally
Six of the 18 listings we opened had no Amazon buy box and only third-party sellers behind a See All Buying Options button. That means the price is whatever the seller asks that week, so we are not quoting one and we are not linking them as purchases. The six are the Mattel Brick Shop Warthog covered above, the MEGA Halo Banished Phantom, the UNSC Scorpion Clash tank, the Renegade Banshee aircraft, the Arctic Burn Wasp and the 20th Anniversary Character Pack.
Three more had no buying option at all. The MEGA Halo Pelican Inbound, the largest build in the range, came back with no add-to-cart button, no buy-now button and no third-party option on two independent reads today, as did the ODST Romeo micro action figure and the MEGA Halo character pack. We have marked those in our own catalog rather than leaving them looking available. If you want a Pelican, Amazon is not currently the route.
What about the Mattel Creations exclusives?
Mattel sells some MEGA Halo sets directly, and all three we checked on September 17, 2026 are sold out. The Multiplayer Mayhem set (462 pieces, eight micro figures, fan-voted Warthog and Mongoose coatings) lists at $65.00 and shows preorder sold out. The UNSC Falcon Sweep (748 pieces, six NOBLE Team Spartans) lists at $70.00 and is sold out; it is a 2023 release, not a new one. The Arbiter's Quest Banshee (241 pieces, three figures) lists at $27.00 and is also sold out, and it still carries Mega Construx branding on Mattel's own page. Direct-from-Mattel is not a workaround for the Amazon gaps.

Does Mega Bloks still make Halo sets?
Not under that name. The Halo brick licence moved from Mega Bloks to Mega Construx to a plain MEGA wordmark, all of them Mattel brands, and the 2026 collector release came out under a fourth Mattel brand called Mattel Brick Shop. Sets branded Mega Bloks and Mega Construx are still on sale, they are just older stock rather than new production.

Starting now is harder than it was a year ago, because the flagship sets are the ones that have gone. The Pelican, the Scorpion, the Banished Phantom and the 20th Anniversary Character Pack all lost their buy box or went unavailable, and those are the four a new collector would naturally want first. A realistic start is one ground vehicle, one aircraft and one terrain piece from the nine sets above, then the October Brick Shop Warthog as the centrepiece.
Is there a Halo: Campaign Evolved Mega Bloks set?
No set is themed on Halo: Campaign Evolved itself. The tie-in runs the other way: the Mattel Brick Shop Warthog includes a redemption code for the Ignition Armor Style for Master Chief inside Halo: Campaign Evolved, per Halo Waypoint, on US product only. The game released on July 28, 2026.
