Subnautica's prop scene runs backwards from most games. The creatures people want on a shelf exist as free articulated print files with thousands of downloads, while the finished goods are a small licensed plush line and a generic one on Amazon. This page keeps both honest: 214 curated print models and 8 listings checked in stock, each verified against its source page or seller.

Start with what is real. The only licensed Subnautica plush line is the Youtooz collection of the Peeper, Bladderfish and Reaper Leviathan, which Unknown Worlds announced for pre-order on August 28, 2025; the Reaper Leviathan figure on Youtooz was still listed as a pre-order item when this page was checked. Beyond that the finished market is Amazon: a generic nine inch plush line that covers the Reaper, Peeper, Sea Emperor and others, brick sets of the Cyclops, Seamoth and Prawn Suit, and the game itself on disc. The printed side is where the leviathans actually live. MagniModels' articulated Reaper has more downloads than any other Subnautica file we verified, the survival knife is the most downloaded single tool on both big platforms, and the Cyclops, Seamoth and Prawn Suit all exist as photographed finished prints rather than renders. Subnautica 2 files have started arriving since Early Access opened in May, led by the Collector Leviathan and the new scanner.

Six Amazon listings, each opened and its availability block read on September 2, 2026. Prices move on Amazon without warning, so none are quoted here: check the current price on the listing itself. Six files by six different makers, every link opened and confirmed live on September 2, 2026 with its download count read off the source page. Passed over on visual review despite the numbers: the Collector Leviathan, Reaper Trophy and a Subnautica 2 scanner whose listing images are marketing renders with text overlays, and a scanner, Bone Shark and Alien Arch on Printables shown only as CAD renders. About 90 Cults3D models in the catalog could not be re-verified this run, so none are featured here.

Where can I download Subnautica STL files?
Fan made Subnautica models live on MakerWorld, Printables, Cults3D and Thingiverse. The Subnautica print files catalog pulls the good ones into one curated list of 214 models, and every card links straight to the source page where you download the file. Almost all of them are free; paid files carry a badge. PropBuilds does not host STLs and does not paywall anything. Files do get reworked or pulled by their creators, so treat every link as fan made and subject to change.
What is the easiest Subnautica thing to 3D print?
The Ion Cube. It is a single piece with a raised pattern, needs no supports, and looks right in translucent green or glow in the dark filament. The next step up is the survival knife, which most makers print as a blade and a handle in two colours and glue together. The articulated leviathans print in place in one go but are long, so they need a clean bed and patience. The Cyclops and the Prawn Suit are the deep end: sectioned prints, filler, sanding and paint.
Can I 3D print Subnautica models, and can I sell them?
We looked for a Subnautica specific fan content or merchandise policy on unknownworlds.com and subnautica.com and did not find one; the site's own fan art contest rules are the closest thing, and they say nothing about 3D printing or selling. What is unambiguous is the copyright line on every Subnautica Steam page: SUBNAUTICA, BELOW ZERO and the associated designs are trademarks of Unknown Worlds Entertainment, Inc. Personal prints sit in the same tolerated space as any other fan art. Selling prints of someone else's game is a different matter and needs permission you do not have by default. Also read the license on the file itself: many MakerWorld uploads carry a Standard Digital File License with its own limits. This is a summary, not legal advice, and PropBuilds is not a law firm.
Where can I buy Subnautica figures and plush?
The licensed line is Youtooz: a Peeper, a Bladderfish and a Reaper Leviathan plush, announced for pre-order by Unknown Worlds on August 28, 2025, plus a Reaper vinyl figure. When we checked on September 2, 2026 the Reaper Leviathan figure on Youtooz was still listed as a pre-order item, so it is not linked here. Everything else is generic. Amazon carries a nine inch Subnautica2 plush line covering the Reaper, Peeper, Sea Emperor, Ghost, Bladderfish, Mesmer, Eyeye and Stalker, plus unlicensed brick sets of the vehicles and the game on disc. The Subnautica props catalog holds the 8 listings we could verify in stock. The official Unknown Worlds store page returned a 404 when we checked, so we do not link it.
Is Subnautica 2 out?
Yes, in Early Access. Its Steam store page gives the release date as May 14, 2026, lists Unknown Worlds Entertainment as developer and publisher, and says the team expects Early Access to take about 2 to 3 years based on their previous games. Updates have been landing since: Unknown Worlds' own news page listed a Subnautica 2 Early Access Buddy System hotfix dated September 1, 2026. The original Subnautica left Early Access on January 23, 2018 and Below Zero on May 13, 2021, both per their Steam pages. No 1.0 date for Subnautica 2 has been published, so none appears here.
Are the Amazon plush and brick sets official?
No. The Amazon plush line lists its brand as Generic and the brick sets are third party; none of them claim a license, and we do not claim one for them. The licensed plush are the Youtooz collection named above.
