Minecraft is the friendliest game in this catalog to print, and the reason is the art style. Everything in the Overworld is a cube or a stack of cubes, which means flat faces, right angles and almost nothing that needs supports. A creeper, a chest and an ore block will all come off the plate looking correct without a single hour of sanding, and because the game is built from solid colors you get a finished prop by swapping filament instead of learning to airbrush. Mobs Creepers, endermen, ghasts, axolotls, foxes, frogs, wither skeletons. Articulated print-in-place versions are the sweet spot: no assembly, no supports, and they come off the plate already posable. Blocks and lights Ore blocks, lanterns, torches, TNT, chests and nether portals. The lit ones are the best value in the whole library because a cheap LED puck or a strip of WLED turns a plain cube into the thing people notice. Swords and tools Diamond swords, pickaxes and axes. Print the blade flat and split anything longer than your bed, then run a rod down the handle. Pixel stepping is the look, so do not smooth it out. PropBuilds does not host STL files. Fan models get reworked or pulled from time to time, so treat each link as fan made and subject to change.
Is it legal to 3D print and sell Minecraft props?
Printing for yourself is the easy case and is treated as tribute work by the community. Selling is where it gets specific, and unusually for a games publisher, Mojang writes the rules down. Their official usage guidelines allow certain individual hand-crafted products only if the item contains enough of your own creativity to be distinctive, is not mass produced or sold through a major retailer, is limited to no more than 20 items using the same or a substantially similar design, and earns you no more than 5,000 US dollars in a calendar year. They also require the wording "NOT AN OFFICIAL MINECRAFT PRODUCT. NOT APPROVED BY OR ASSOCIATED WITH MOJANG OR MICROSOFT" on it. Read the guidelines on minecraft.net yourself before you sell anything, since those terms can change, and remember that individual model creators set their own licence on top, and many community files are non-commercial only.
What is the easiest Minecraft prop to 3D print?

When is the next Minecraft update?
Mojang moved away from one big yearly update and now ships several smaller game drops through the year. The most recent one at the time of writing was Chaos Cubed, released on June 16, 2026, and as of August 2026 Mojang had announced a further drop for the autumn without giving it a date. There is no published schedule, so treat any dated roadmap you find elsewhere as a guess. None of it changes what is printable: the props on this page are drawn from a decade and a half of blocks, not from whatever shipped last.
