The wearable Master Chief helmets
- Halo 4 / 5 (Mark IV): Aston Lamport's is the one to start with. It comes cut up for an Ender 3 and some larger printers, plus full pieces for big beds. Mirror the cut pieces, print two vents (mirror one) and four side buttons. It's CC BY-SA, so remixes can be shared.
- Halo Infinite: the helmet by Kolinc has the visor built in; PJJGamingPrinters' remix makes the visor a separate piece, and Mason W split that remix to fit an 8.5 x 8.5 x 8 inch bed, adding that it's a bit large and will probably need scaling down.
- Halo Reach: Fallen's Noble 1 (Carter) helmet separates at the neck for a better fit, with magnets to line the pieces up; a one-piece file is included too. The designer printed it at 0.1 mm with supports.
Classic helmets
Jace1969 has posted a run of older Halo helmets on Printables, several converted from Pepakura files: a Mark VI made from JTM's model (visor removed, hollowed and split; scale it to suit), a Halo 3 ODST, a Achilles with the neck hole sized at about 17.5 cm for an adult head, and Air Assault Mk1 and Mk2 helmets, the Mk2 with a 17 to 18 cm neck hole. For smaller beds, CrazyPlayer55 spliced the Mark VI. commanderwolffe_117's Halo: Combat Evolved helmet is CC0 and comes whole or in 5 pieces. The full size Spartan helmet and armor buck is marked untested by its uploader.

Paid files on Cults3D and Galactic Armory
Cults3D lists 15 Halo helmet files in our catalog, 12 of them paid when we last checked in May: wearable Master Chief helmets cut into quarters or a 12-part split, a Mark VII, ODST and EOD helmets, and a Reach pilot helmet among them. Galactic Armory sold helmet and armor files for Reach's Noble 6 and the Mark V when we checked in May. The Halo print library links every one.
Getting the size right
Designers size helmets to their own heads, so read the notes: Aston Lamport printed at about 90%, Mason W expects you'll scale down, and Jace1969 gives neck hole widths. Measure your head's width and length, work out the scale below, and print a thin test slice before the full helmet.
Finishing, padding and display
Rust-Oleum filler and sandable primer and 3M sanding sponges hide layer lines before paint (the finishing guide walks through it). A helmet padding kit makes the shell comfortable, small magnets hold split pieces like Carter's neck in line, and an acrylic helmet display case keeps dust off it afterwards.
