Houses
Keegan's house is split into parts so each can be printed in its own color. They printed it at 50% scale with 0.15 mm layers and variable layer height, which made the biggest difference on the roof; at that size the door knob broke off. Matt remixed it into a bird house that screws onto a pallet-wood platform, and ChrisTheViolaNerd made a house bank.
Gyroids, fossils and items
- kaje's Lloid planter is CC0 and prints upside down with much less support. PLA planters can leak, so kaje coats the inside with clear urethane varnish. hajalie24's remix has a larger top hole; theirs was printed at 600%, and they recommend 3 walls.
- NanoCodeBug's fossil box is 6 cm across and 3.5 cm tall. The star, plus and swirl print in white and the lids in blue, so no multi-material unit is needed; only the star and lid need supports. Glue at least the swirl with gel super glue.
- tritiumosu's Star Fragment looks best in silk or glow-in-the-dark filament, and Kurt Richter's Bell coin prints whole or as two halves to glue. Richard K has a star wand.
Furniture
Lndnny's Froggy Chair is modeled to print with no supports, but it leans on overhangs and bridging, so it needs good cooling and a brim. Haru_Creavita's Robot Hero, the most expensive DIY recipe in the game, stands 190 mm tall and needs a printer that can print TPU. Painting single-color prints?
