Warhammer Terrain, Bases and Movement Trays to 3D Print (Free Files)

Oct 05, 2026 · 3 MIN READ

Most files in our Warhammer print library are not miniatures but everything around them: terrain, bases, movement trays, rulers and boxes. Of its 160 free files only 14 are figures, while 33 name bases in their titles, 14 are trays and 16 are terrain pieces. These are the most useful, with Printables likes as of 30 September 2026. What each file does comes from its creator's own summary; if you play at an event, check its rules on printed terrain and bases first.

Two Warhammer 40,000 games land this autumn: Boltgun 2 on October 14 on Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, per its Steam announcement, and Dawn of War IV on December 3 on Steam, per Deep Silver.

Terrain

MikeHokage made a matching pair: Grimdark Warhammer Wall Terrain (99 likes) and Warhammer Siege Grimdark Wall (78), a siege wall for building a battlefield. For matched play, Gothic3 Terrain set for Warhammer 40k 11th edition (46) is described as a terrain set for Warhammer 40,000's 11th edition that prints without supports, and Warhammer 40K 11th Edition Terrain Area Templates (40) gives you the terrain area footprints. LED Necron Obelisk (185) is a Necron obelisk hollowed out for an LED and a watch battery, and Tabletop - Pipeline / Warhammer [Terrain - Prop] (28) adds scatter.

Bases

The most-liked base file is Miniature Bases in Warhammer Sizes by pidgeon_pete (362 likes): round, oval and rounded rectangle bases that its creator says match the sizes Games Workshop makes. Round and oval bases for Warhammer 40k and AoS (111) is described as validated against real GW bases. MakerTeam has single sizes, 32mm (140) and 40mm (84). To magnetise, Fillings With Magnet For Warhammer Miniature Bases (25/28/32/40mm) (45) fills the underside of a base with a pocket for a 3 or 5 mm magnet, and Squad Base - 90mm Oval - Warhammer (60) was designed for bike troopers on 90mm ovals.

Movement trays

32mm Base Warhammer Model Tray by hambone10 (52 likes) sorts and carries models on 32mm bases, and a magnetic movement tray for 32mm bases (28) holds them in formation.

At the table

warhammer wound marker (55 likes), a combat key ruler (48) and a Warhammer 40K Kill Team Token Holder (46) that its creator says keeps Kill Team 2024 tokens attached to the model they point at.

Painting, display and transport

Miniature Display Stand for Warhammer (286 likes) shows off finished models, a painting workshop (126) holds brushes and paints with a working area, and Hirte's overengineered transport box (80) is modular and stackable, though its creator still calls it a work in progress.

For cosplay

The most-liked file in the whole library is The Teeth of Terra by Cornivius - Multipart Chainsword Prop REMIX (473 likes), a remix that turns a chainsword miniature into a life-size, multi-part prop. A decorative cosplay chain sword (435) is a big one whose creator suggests you purge heretics or just mow your lawn with it, and Cadia Mk IV Assault Chainsword (64) is another. A NERF mod kit (39) turns the NERF Fortnite AR-L blaster into a full-scale bolter.
