The Rust
wiki you'll
actually use.
RustHelp.com is a free, community-built companion for Facepunch's Rust - raid cost calculators, monument loot tables, crafting and recycling math, a tech-tree planner, a crosshair generator, inventory value checker, and a weekly skin store mirror. All in one place. Always current.
What it actually
does for you.
We send a lot of customers to RustHelp because it's the resource we keep open in a second monitor while we play. Here's the short version of why - three things it does better than anyone else.
Answers the wipe-day questions
"How many C4 to break this wall?" "What scrap am I getting back from this recycle?" "Which tech tree branch unlocks the AK first?" One search, one number, no forum digging.
Stays current with the patches
Data is regenerated against the live game files monthly, so the raid math and item costs match what's actually on the server you're connecting to — not a 2021 wiki page.
Has the niche tools nobody else does
Inventory value checker pulls live Steam Market prices. The crosshair generator gives you a console command. Outfit Builder lets you preview skin combos on a 3D model before you buy.
The toolkit.
Every tool below is free and lives at rusthelp.com. We've grouped them the way we actually use them - the wipe-day staples up front, the deep-cut admin tools at the end.
Raid Cost Calculator
Built into every building item page. Tells you exactly how many C4, rockets, satchels, or explosive ammo it takes to break that wall, door, or floor. Soft-side and hard-side both shown.
Recycling Calculator
Dump items in, get the scrap and component yield before you trek to the recycler. Knows the efficiency tiers (safe zone vs radtown).
Crosshair Generator
Build a custom crosshair, copy the console command, paste it in-game. Browse presets shared by other players. Surprisingly addictive.
Tech Tree Planner
Every workbench tier mapped, with research costs and unlock paths. Plan the most efficient route to AK / MP5 / explosives before you commit the scrap.
Inventory Value Checker
Drop in your (or anyone's) Steam profile, get total skin inventory value with a price-history chart. Useful for tracking your collection's drift over time.
Outfit Builder
Mix and match clothing skins on a 3D model. Preview the loadout before wipe, save combos. The only place that lets you see this without owning the items.
Skin Viewer & Store
Preview any Rust skin in-browser before you commit. Plus a mirror of the weekly Item Store with subscriber counts so you can see what's trending.
Admin Command List
Every console, server, and client command in Rust with examples and what each one actually does. If you run a server, this is the page you keep bookmarked.
Item List (Shortnames)
Every item with its display name, short name, item ID, and spawn command. Plugin devs and server admins will recognize this one immediately.
Plus the full wiki.
Behind the tools is a real, structured database. Every item, building piece, monument, and entity in Rust has its own page with the data you'd dig through three forum threads to find.
If it's in the game,
it's in the wiki.
The site indexes every item, building part, weapon, monument, and entity. Each page carries the raid cost, recycling yield, crafting cost, blueprint requirements, and spawn locations where relevant - the actual numbers, not vibes.
How we use it.
A second-monitor playbook. The four moves that come up every wipe, with the page on RustHelp that solves each one.
Plan the wipe
Open the tech tree planner. Map the path from rad town starter kit → AK. Decide whether you're rushing T2 or going wide on components.
Run the math
Found a loot stash? Pop the contents into the recycling calculator before you sprint to the monument so you know if the trip is worth it.
Quote the raid
Building page → raid cost. How many C4 for sheet, for armored, for the metal door. Counted before you craft so you don't show up under-explosived.
Window shop
Use the outfit builder and skin viewer to plan your loadout for next wipe without dropping cash on items you'll regret.
Open RustHelp
in a second monitor.
That's the whole pitch. It's free, it's accurate, it's the one we use. Bookmark it, then come back here for the kits.
Other tools
we recommend.
The Resources hub is our shortlist of community sites worth your time. Slot more in here as we feature them - the layout repeats for each partner.
RustMaps
Procedural map search and generator. Filter by monument layout, resource density, and player count before you commit a wipe to a server.
