December 11-13, 2026 in Seattle. Halo Waypoint calls it "a three-day event spanning December 11-13, 2026": a Seattle Symphony concert at Benaroya Hall on the 11th, then the convention at the Seattle Convention Center on the 12th and 13th, all celebrating 25 years of Halo: Combat Evolved. If you are building a suit, this is the date to plan backwards from.

Halo built its identity on industrial design you can hold: the Mjolnir helmet silhouette, the two-pronged glow of an energy sword, the friendly bulk of a Warthog. That is why the Halo maker scene is one of the deepest in gaming, anchored by a costuming community that has been refining print-and-wear Spartan armor for over a decade. The work splits into two camps. Wearables are measured in kilograms of filament, filler and sanding hours. Shelf pieces, a Cortana chip, a Needler, a desk Warthog, finish in an evening or a weekend. Everything below is fan made and links back to the creator's page.

// MOST-PRINTED PICKS

A handful of standouts from the library. See all 133 in the Halo Print Library.

// WHAT TO PRINT
// BUILD TIME, HONESTLY
An evening A Cortana chip, a health pack, a keychain Chief. One plate, minimal supports, paint optional. Start here if the printer is new.
A weekend A desk Warthog, a campaign skull, or an energy sword printed in sections and glued. Multi part but forgiving, and each one reads instantly as Halo on a shelf.
A few weeks A wearable helmet finished properly: print, fill, sand, prime, paint, then a vacuum-formed or bought visor. The single most rewarding Halo build there is.
A whole season A full Mjolnir or ODST suit. Kilograms of filament, foam interfacing, strapping and paint. Plan it backwards from the date you want to wear it, say, a December in Seattle.

// FAQ
Where can I download Halo STL files for 3D printing?
Fan made Halo models live on maker platforms like Cults3D, Printables, MakerWorld and Thingiverse, plus dedicated armor makers such as Galactic Armory. This hub and the Halo Print Library pull the best of them into one curated directory, and each card links straight to the source page where you download the file. Availability changes because some fan models get removed on request, so treat every link as fan made and subject to takedown.
How do I 3D print Master Chief's helmet?
Pick an era, then pick a scale. The Mk V is the Combat Evolved and Reach helmet, the Mk VI is Halo 2 and 3, and the Mk VII is Halo Infinite. Wearable files come split into printable sections and need measuring against your own head with room for padding, while display helmets print smaller in one or two pieces. Budget most of the effort for finishing: filling, sanding and priming take longer than the print itself, and the gold visor is usually a bought or vacuum-formed part rather than a printed one. The 405th Infantry Division, Halo's long-running costuming community, publishes detailed build logs worth reading before you commit filament.
What is the easiest Halo prop to 3D print?
The Cortana chip. It is palm sized, prints in an evening without supports, and reads instantly as Halo, especially with the contact edge picked out in a second color. Health packs and campaign skulls are similar quick wins. The energy sword is the best first "big" prop because the blade splits into flat sections that glue cleanly, and translucent filament fakes the glow without any electronics.
Is it legal to 3D print Halo props?
Halo is owned by Microsoft, and its games are developed by Halo Studios, the team formerly known as 343 Industries. Printing a model for your own personal use is generally tolerated in the maker community as tribute work, but selling unlicensed Halo prints is very likely infringement. Individual creators also set their own file licenses, and many community models are share alike rather than free for commercial use, so read the terms on each source page. PropBuilds is not affiliated with Microsoft and makes no licensing guarantees.
What is Halo Fest 2026?
Halo's official 25th anniversary celebration in Seattle, announced on Halo Waypoint as "a three-day event spanning December 11-13, 2026." It opens with a Seattle Symphony concert at Benaroya Hall on December 11, followed by a convention at the Seattle Convention Center on December 12 and 13 that also hosts the HCS Invitational. Waypoint announced ticket sales opening December 10, 2025, so check the official channels for current availability. For prop builders it is the natural deadline: a con full of Halo fans in the franchise's home city, in its anniversary year.
Is Halo: Campaign Evolved out?
Halo Studios is remaking the original Halo: Combat Evolved campaign as Halo: Campaign Evolved, with a July 28, 2026 release date, day one on Game Pass, four-player online co-op, crossplay and console split-screen, plus three new prequel missions under the name Operation: METEORITE. Our Campaign Evolved launch page tracks the release with a live countdown and region-by-region unlock times.
